WRY WIT WISDOM AND MAYBE JUST FULL OF sH!+

happy Wednesday ya'll.

Have a little story to tell you... I found it so darn funny....

Last night Michael came home and said, I don't have any cigarettes...
I responded with you know where they sell them right?
he said yeah but the traffic was so bad and you take such good care of me.
I said, we will flip a coin to see who goes to the store...
He said no that wont work, it will mess with the natural order of things....
I said HUH?
He said, look I go make the money, you go spend it; we have been working this for years and for me to go spend it will mess with the natural order of things...
YEAH, I laughed then went to get cigarettes.

those who know me know that it takes little to amuse me...

On Tuesday nights there is NOTHING on TV that Michael or I care to watch so we pick a movie from the stack that I have that our niece Kerrie lent us... Last night we chose THE LAST SONG, it was in a paper case so we had no clue what we were going to see.  thankfully it was not in a case or we would have never watched it and in turn we would have missed out on a really good movie.  so If you have not seen it because of who is in it ... suck it up and see it, it is WORTHY!

On the Halo and Bradley Files....
YES Karen I am twitterpatted...they make the days worth living when nothing else does... and strangely enough they are ... or seem to be so much easier than my own two did at this age...
Halo does just what is expected of her... she eats, she poops, she pees, she burps and farts, and sleeps, she coos, and smiles when the gas is right and she wraps her itty fingers around my finger.  she is adorable and until MPM said it yesterday I did not realise... but YES she looks just like ME when I was a baby...which in the big scheme of things is not totally suprising since both my kids favor me too... I really must dig out some old baby pics and let you guys guess who is who...
Bradley is too darn funny, he chooses not to talk... in ENGLISH... he is just like his dad was...he speaks bradleyese...and manages to make his messages very clear... he does throw in mama papa dada byebye and ocassionaly some other words but he would not repeat them on command if YOUR life depended on it.
He is a huge helper he throws aways all the dirty diapers his and halos both... he is very interested in her and likes to be close to her patting her back or touching her hands or head or feet... he runs with her bottles ... but after being alowed to taste the one with prune juice in it has not tried to taste another. HA HA the look on his face was priceless...
Both kids sleep well at grandmas house and it really makes things pretty easy on me.  I am able to stagger waking them (USUALLY) so that halo is full an dry and happy when he wakes and is needing grandma attention.

Now if I could get MY sleeping straight and do more than 4 to 6 hours at a time... then perhaps i would not feel so wrung out all the time.  When I am tired I dont accomplish much... or at least in my mind i dont

Michael has requested a pot of potato soup to carry to work next week...the pot I made last night was OUT OF THIS WORLD so darn good... I am so suprised that I have never tried to make it before but I dont remember ever having it as a kid... DAD did mom make potato soup that you remember???

Tonight we are having left overs potato soup and pot roast...

Bradley went back to the dr today for the follow up from having double ear infections... dr said he is perfect, inspite of his very runny nose today... she said seasonal allergies and theres nothing we can give him... sigh...

I had some gift cards from christmas to use... I bought two books with them and still have some moneys left on amazon to get more e books with later when i decide what I really want.  one book is the workbook that goes with the boundaries book that i have been reading... And the other is one more of alton browns cookbooks... I LOVE Alton he just cracks me up and is such a great cook i would LOVE for him to cook for me :)   (not so sure how his wife would appreciate that though)

well I reckon thats about it for now... have been enjoying airing out my house it has been absolutely beautiful and being able to open the windows is just... pure bliss....

Have a wonderful ... day (s)  until we meet again!  God Bless ;)

great catchup blog!!! It is so awesome that you get to stay home and take care of those kiddos, what a help that is to your kids. And you get to have fun, right?

My mom used to make potato soup probably every week, I am not a huge potato soup fan but I do love soups. Winter isnt winter without soup!!!

LOVE the Michael theory....I make it and you spend it. Priceless!

Glad to hear you've got those youngins on your schedule. They are precious. Now if their parents will just grow up before it's too late to enjoy them at this age.

Ordered my book and workbook from Amazon yesterday.

Love youl.

Oh Laura--how on earth do you manage all this! Then, I look back to when m daughter passed away and how much I did for my grandson--and remember I was younger. And he was 7--so there was school, homework--that sort of thing, but no diapers.

(Oh Martha--I'm so sorry you had to sell your car for nothing when you could have gotten more. Please get your diploma-I know you will! I never got mine--and I've regretted it for so very many years.

I know things will get better after awhile--and your mama will make sure they stay better if she can, I know.:)

MJ, hang in there and graduate, darling! It is almost over and things will be so much better once you get school out of the way!

Laura, you and I must really be on the same wavelength, foodwise, anyhow...the day you posted pics of the pork loin with the peas and corn bread...I made that exact same dinner that night(well we had field peas, plus mac n cheese) . And Timmy has begged me this entire week for some potato soup, which I have not made in a long, long time! That's just kind of weird...

Hope you are warm and dry on this dreary day!
